Xylem Lines is one man's enigmatic journey of self exploration, conservation and preservation. Through an emotional road map of chaos, healing and growth; a vast wilderness of human experience is traversed in regards to environmental influences, the need for change and the passing of time. By infusing spoken word, songs and projections a new path is forged and emotional landscapes are navigated. This alchemy of evolution is personified by reading between the lines and attempting to not miss the forest for the trees.

 

Xylem Lines made it's National Premiere as a full festival run with the 2022 Kansas City Fringe Festival.

Considered to be one of Marcum's most commercially accessible works to date as a writer and performer, Xylem Lines was made in collaboration with Production Manager Kelly Michael, and Video Designer/Conductor Sean Cullen.
