Hollywood Encore Producers' Award winner "Matthew Marcum - Pollock: A Frequency Parable" and Best of the Broadwater Award winner "A Beast/A Burden" will be making an OFF BROADWAY debut of new work :Nature and Purpose". Matthew Marcum's Pollock: A Frequency Parable finally hits home for half of the duo of artists that run The Unconventional Empire. Pollock will appear as part of the inaugural season of The Kindling Arts Festival in Nashville, TN. From the creators of The Sideshow Fringe Festival and Haunted, The Kindling Arts Festival will run August 24th - 26th in the historic Wedgewood-Houston Neighborhood at various venues throughout the weekend. Matthew Marcum's Pollock: A Frequency Parable is thrilled to be returning to the St. Louis Fringe Festival for a special encore performance, featured in the Kranzberg Performing Arts Center in the heart of the St. Louis Theatre District. ​JUNE 2 POLLOCK TAKES FLIGHT AT HOLLYWOOD FRINGE FESTIVAL
Matthew Marcum's Pollock: A Frequency Parable will be making a much anticipated return to Los Angeles as part of the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival. The show opens with a preview performance on June 2nd at the Flight Theatre at The Complex on Santa Monica Boulevard. There will be four more follow up performances through the month of June. Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks presents Pollock: A Frequency Parable, an avant-operatic sound performance piece that explores elements of abstract expressionism through nonlinear narrative and extended vocal techniques. The creator of this musical, Matthew Marcum, is an interdisciplinary performance artist who infuses text, sound, movement and optics to create contemporary theatre productions, live art exhibitions, and conceptual installations.
